We rejoice that it is now possible for the faithful to attend Mass again. I have emailed all members of the parish as we prepare for this with the guidelines and procedures as set by the Government and by the Archbishop. For this to be possible we need Stewards and Cleaners to volunteer. To register your interest, please email me. Let us go to the House of the Lord! Letter from Fr Christopher - 28 June 2020

THE ANGELUS (recite at 9am, 12noon & 6pm, each day)
The Angel of the Lord brought tidings to Mary. And she conceived by the Holy Spirit. Hail Mary, full of grace….. Behold the handmaid of the Lord. Be it unto me according to thy Word. Hail Mary... And the Word was made flesh. And dwelt among us. Hail Mary, full of grace..... Pray for us, Holy Mother of God. That we may be made worthy of the promises of Christ. Let us pray. We beseech you Lord, to pour your grace into our hearts, that as we have known the incarnation of your Son, Jesus, by the message of an angel, so by his + cross and passion, may we be brought to the glories of his resurrection. Through the same, Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen. IN THE TIME OF ANY COMMON PLAGUE OF SICKNESS
O Almighty God, who in thy wrath didst send a plague upon thine own people in the wilderness, for their obstinate rebellion against Moses and Aaron; and also, in the time of king David, didst slay with the plague of pestilence threescore and ten thousand, and yet remembering thy mercy didst save the rest: Have pity upon us miserable sinners, who now are visited with great sickness and mortality; that like as thou didst then accept of an atonement, and didst command the destroying Angel to cease from punishing, so it may now please thee to withdraw from us this plague and grievous sickness; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen. |
AN ACT OF PERFECT CONTRITION
Through an act of Perfect Contrition, you receive pardon for your sins outside of confession, even mortal sins, on condition that you determine to amend your life and make a firm resolution to go to sacramental confession as soon as this becomes possible for you. Perfect Contrition is a grace from God, so sincerely ask for this gift throughout the day prior to making your act of contrition: "My God, grant me perfect contrition for all my sins".
A SPIRITUAL COMMUNION
The key to Spiritual Communion is to grow in your heart a constant desire for the Blessed Sacrament.
